What Devices Are TEREA Sticks Compatible With?
TEREA is made for the IQOS ILUMA platform. IQOS states that TEREA sticks can be used with any type of IQOS ILUMA device and should not be used with previous IQOS generations.
The original ILUMA lineup includes three models:

Why TEREA Works With IQOS ILUMA
IQOS ILUMA does not have a heating blade. Instead, the heating element is built into the stick.
Each TEREA stick contains a metal core inside the tobacco section and is sealed at the front. Once the stick is inserted into an ILUMA device, the SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM heats that metal element, which heats the tobacco from within.
HEETS work differently. They were made for earlier IQOS devices that have a ceramic blade inside the holder. The blade enters the tobacco section and heats it directly.
A HEETS stick does not contain the internal metal element used by the ILUMA induction system. TEREA, on the other hand, is not built to accommodate a heating blade.
The sealed construction also keeps tobacco from coming into direct contact with the inside of the ILUMA holder, so ILUMA devices do not require the same cleaning routine as older blade-based models.
Can You Use TEREA With Older IQOS Devices?
No. TEREA should not be used with blade-based IQOS devices.
